genium celler (DOQ Priorat) english català castellano francaise   the cellar In the year 2002,  six families with a long traditition in wine cultivation in the municipality of Poboleda (Priorat) decided to join their efforts in order to elaborate a quality wine with grapes from their own crops. All this under the supervision of an oenologist called Roser Amorós. The winecellar is located in the center of the village in the groundlevel of a house which was the very first settlement of the Cartusians Monks of Scala Dei. Although it is a small cellar, in its facilities the last new technological features are being used: special stainless steel tanks of a greater dliameter than usual in order to favor the aromas of the product, diposits of different capacities (500 and 1000 liters) allowing fermentation of each type of grape and part of each vineyard in its best state of maduration, cooling equipment for controling fermentation temperatures and a selection table for during the grapes entries. < Return to home page [Nou, 92 baixos 43376 POBOLEDA (Priorat) - Tel./Fax 977 827 146. c./e.:genium@geniumceller.com]
